Stephanie is a civil and commercial litigator who handles complex and high-value disputes across various sectors and jurisdictions. She has extensive experience in representing clients before the Singapore Courts at all levels, as well as before the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and other global arbitration bodies. She also acts for the Singapore Medical Council and the Council for Estate Agencies in professional disciplinary matters.

Some of Stephanie’s notable representations include:

  • A global power engineering leader in a high-stakes SIAC arbitration against State-owned petrochemical companies concerning the construction of two thermal power plants in Vietnam, with a disputed quantum exceeding SGD 1 billion. Currently before the Singapore Court of Appeal, this matter involves resisting the setting aside of the arbitral award.
  • A South Korean gaming powerhouse-developer of a globally celebrated, award-winning battle royale game, in an intellectual property dispute before SIAC against a competing technology conglomerate.
  • A Singapore-based  manufacturer of hoists, cranes, and monorails in a matter before the Singapore High Court and Court of Appeal, resisting the enforcement of an SIAC arbitral award.

  • One of the world’s leading heating and cooling manufacturers, an American multinational corporation, in securing urgent interlocutory relief against former employees in the Singapore High Court.
    • Reported as: BAFCO Singapore Pte Ltd v Lee Tze Seng and others [2020] SGHC 281
  • A prominent American software corporationin the Singapore High Court in a case involving claims of breach of fiduciary duty, misrepresentation, conspiracy, and fraud by a former director and sub-contractors.
  • A Malaysian bank, in successfully registering and enforcing multiple foreign judgments in the Singapore High Court.
  • The Singapore Medical Council, in successfully representing them in disciplinary proceedings and an appeal before the Court of 3 Judges against a medical practitioner for professional misconduct.

As an undergraduate, Stephanie represented the Singapore Management University in various prestigious international mooting competitions. She earned podium finishes and won top oralist and memorial awards in renowned competitions such as the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot (East), the International Criminal Court Moot Court Competition and the Nuremberg Moot Court Competition.

Stephanie is a member of the Singapore Academy of Law and the Law Society of Singapore. She also serves on the Law Society’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and is a panel solicitor with the Legal Aid Bureau.
